World Speed Motorsports had drivers on every podium this weekend at Sears Point . First time Fran-Am driver Jason Kritikos took pole position and the win in race one, and finished third on Sunday. “I was happy to have the opportunity to compete in the Fran-Am West series this weekend. WSM gave me a great car all weekend and if it weren’t for a problem we had with the no-lift-shift sensor on Sunday I am confident that we could have repeated Saturday’s victory. On the podium Jason thanked all of the sponsors that came together to make the weekend possible, MMI Karting, Mike Greci, series sponsor Michelin, OpenAuto.com and World Speed Motorsports.”
Longtime WSM team driver Frank McCormick took the win in the Sportsman division both days, and Telo Stewart was excited by the performance of all three drivers during the weekend. “The series is coming together and the competition is the strongest I have ever seen at this level. It was great to have Jason on top, Frank on the podium twice, and our championship hopeful Brad Coleman competitive as ever. Now the team gears up for the Fontana event July 13th.
