World Speed Motorsports announced today that it has committed to increasing support for racers competing in the Crawford F4-16 for the balance of 2017, and leading into the 2018 season. The F4-16 is currently homologated to race in the FIA F4 United States Championship sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing, as well as SCCA Club Racing events all over the country. The car is also expected to be given a place to compete inside of the west coast based 2018 Formula Car Challenge championships.
“There are already seven cars delivered in Northern California, and one of those belongs to our partner VMB Driver Development.” noted World Speed President Telo Stewart. The Western States Distributor for the F4-16 is Exclusive MotorWorks, who is based in the adjoining shop to us. We have been building and testing the F4-16 cars since July, and have built a great relationship with EMI. We are fortunate that we are based right at Sonoma Raceway, and that we can test year round. We expect to test a lot of drivers who are interested in competing in this car next season. The F4-16 program is another step in our development ladder, and is in a niche that is being underserved. We work very hard to meet drivers right where they are, and help them secure a program that meets their needs.”
Drivers interested in testing in a Crawford F4-16 with World Speed should contact the team as soon as possible to secure available dates.
