PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA (June 1, 1999) – “I am on the verge of a podium finish and I am ready for Milwaukee,” said Rondet as World Speed Motorsports wrapped things up at Gateway International Raceway in Illinois and hit the road for the Milwaukee Mile. Rondet, who finished fifth at Gateway, is ready to round another oval and move closer to the podium. The 60-mile/60-lap race will take place Saturday, June 5 at 3:00 p.m. part of the Miller Lite 225 CART FedEx Championship weekend.
“After Gateway we now have another oval down and we learned some more lessons. Little more experience, it’s a good thing. We are ready for Milwaukee,” said Team Owner, Chuck West. Nicolas has made a strong impression beginning his first full Atlantic season, “Nicolas certainly has surprised a lot of people and proved that he’s more than capable of running up front,” said West, ” he clearly brings the experience and expertise to put us in the position to challenge for the championship.”
The race will be televised Saturday, June 12 at 3:00 p.m. EST on espn2, with repeat broadcasts on Tuesday, June 15 at 5:00 a.m. and Thursday, June 17 at 4:00 a.m. To catch World Speed live on track, head down to the Milwaukee Mile Saturday, June 5.
