The World Speed Motorsports Crew

Telo Stewart
Team Owner

Telo Stewart was born in Colorado, spending most of his youth in Aspen before moving to California to attend the Russell Racing School’s year-long mechanic and driver training program, finishing second in the driver’s championship and becoming the second person ever to receive the President’s Award for excellence in the mechanical aspects of the program.

Telo started working with World Speed Motorsports in 1996 while still racing at Russell Racing. Then he joined WSM full time in 1997 as one of the team’s number-one mechanics.  He also competed in, and claimed, the San Francisco Regional Formula Mazda Championship in 1997 for WSM.  Telo put his driving on the back burner in 1998, and was promoted to Team Manager for the team’s Star Mazda Series efforts, including the 2001 Star Mazda Series North American Championship winning effort.

Mark Milazzo
Marketing Director
As Russell Racing School's crew chief he designed the current version of the Russell pro car in 1995. Later he rose to the top of Russell management, becoming responsible for all sales and marketing, as well as being named Mechanics Training Program Director. Mark has engineered and wrenched on Formula Mazda, USFF2000, Toyota Atlantic, and Formula Renault 1600 and 2000 open wheel racecars as well as many different types of high performance machinery. He also has worked on sponsorship packages for a large number of drivers and teams.
Emile Tabb
Crew Chief

Emile got his racing career jump-started in the year long Jim Russell Mechanic's Training Program at Mont Tremblant, Quebec, excelling as both a mechanic and driver. He won three of six races, placed second in two others, and claimed second in the Championship. This gave him the opportunity to go on to represent his class at the Scholarship Competition at Silverstone in England.

2005 will be Emile’s fifth full season with the World Speed team. He joined the team initially as a Formula F2000 mechanic, however, his duties were quickly redirected to World Speed's 2001 Star Mazda Championship winning effort.  2002 would see Emile as an integral team member in both the CART Toyota Atlantic and Formula Renault 1600 Championships.
